Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a type of therapy that can be helpful for anyone who is struggling with emotional difficulties.

CBT focuses on the connection between thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. Individuals can learn to identify and challenge negative or unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour, and build more positive, helpful ways of thinking and acting in the world. This can help to alleviate symptoms like anxiety, depression, and other types of distress.

I have found that gradually introducing practical CBT strategies can be helpful when recovering from trauma and beginning to re-engage in previously avoided situations.
